EdiRange is a mobile application designed to complement Edimax smart Wi-Fi extenders by facilitating management and environmental analysis. These extenders are intended to address common Wi-Fi connectivity issues and extend wireless coverage to areas with weak or no signal, thereby enhancing overall network performance.

The app offers an intuitive interface for controlling your extender and conducting surveys of your local Wi-Fi landscape. It provides accessible analytics aimed at minimizing interference from neighboring networks, helping users optimize the performance of their wireless devices within their homes or offices.

Users can also configure key network features directly through EdiRange, including managing the extender’s wireless network, its guest network capabilities, and scheduling functions. The guest network function enables secure internet access for visitors or children, allowing owners to isolate guest traffic from the main network. Parental controls are supported by the ability to activate or deactivate the child's Wi-Fi network at will, offering a layer of oversight and security.

The application includes a “good night” mode that quickly disables the extender’s Wi-Fi, providing a convenient way to ensure network access is limited during sleeping hours.

It is important to note that EdiRange requires the user to be connected to the same LAN as the extender for proper operation. In cases of connectivity issues, users should connect directly to the extender’s SSID.
